We are a group of men and women, currently numbering some 20 regular attenders, who meet at 2.30pm in the Welcome Room on the first and third Tuesday afternoons in the month. At every meeting we have 2 or 3 hymns, prayers and a Bible reading; at most meetings we have an invited speaker who may talk on any subject, not necessarily on a religious theme, but there is often a church connection. We sometimes have a ‘members’ afternoon’ when we bring our own contributions, such as at Harvest and Christmas. We always finish with tea and biscuits, even cake when someone is celebrating a birthday, and time to chat to each other.
We will be pleased to welcome new members and visitors at our meetings; if you think you might like to join us, come along on a Tuesday and find out what we do, or come when a particular topic interests you. You can click to see our current programme here.
If you want to know more, speak to Gerry Edwards (president), Jenny Bull (vice-president), Cynthia Merriman (secretary), Barbara Brickwell (treasurer) or any of the members.
